His practice is on the border between documentary and point-of-view photography. He discovers and arranges stories that seem evocative to him and tries to propose a singular document around territories marked notably by periods of conflict. Charles Thiefaine collaborates with the French press (M le monde, Lib\u00e9ration, Mouvement) and international press (Washington Post, T le temps, Vice). His work is also the subject of exhibitions (Circulation(s), Rencontres du X\u00e8me, Copenhagen Photo festival) and a book to be released in 2021 (Tahrir).<\/p>\n<p><strong>DEVELOPED PROJECT: &#8220;Z<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Charles Thiefaine<\/span><span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">is a portrait of the inhabitants of Ile de Thau, a working-class district in the north of S\u00e8te. By meeting a boxer, an apprentice fisherman and a group of young beach-goers, he has documented a cosmopolitan, mixed-race territory built on water, while introducing the imaginary and creating new narratives. The images in his &#8220;Z&#8221; series reflect the complexity of a marginalized place, capturing the poetry of its landscapes and people. The series invites the viewer to reflect on life on the water&#8217;s edge and the citizenship of the class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>GREEK-BELGIAN PHOTOGRAPHER, BORN IN 1992<\/p>\n<p>Born in 1992 in Brussels, Aliki Christoforou is a Belgian-Greek visual artist who lives and works between Belgium and Greece. After working as an architect and set designer, she decided to move away from her professional activity to devote herself to her artistic practice. In 2020 she joins the master of photography and visual arts of La Cambre, in Brussels. In 2021, she won the Libraryman Award and published her first book, &#8220;Anamnesis&#8221;. Imbued with his two cultures, his work revolves around ecological and social issues and invites reflection on our present time.<\/p>\n<p>PROJECT DEVELOPED: &#8220;SUBMERGED PERSPECTIVES<\/p>\n<p>Aliki Christoforou, presents the &#8220;Perspectives submerg\u00e9es&#8221; project, a research project that plunges us into the phenomenon of jellyfish proliferation. Between overfishing, plastic proliferation, global warming and water acidification, jellyfish are taking advantage of the upheavals caused by human beings. This proposal examines the turbulence of Mediterranean waters: is it possible for jellyfish to be agents of ecological and political resistance to human-induced violence?
