January 13 to March 16, 2025
Ronan Guillou grant #3: Man and the marine world around Sète, Etang de Thau and the Gulf of Lion.
Photographers from Europe and the southern shores of the Mediterranean, you have a project associating man and the marine world, apply for the 3rd edition of the Ronan Guillou Grant, 4000€ to realize a project between Sète, Etang de Thau and the Gulf of Lion!
In 2025, with the support of the city of Sète and M28 terres de culture, a photographic creation grant is offered to professional European photographers and those from the southern shores of the Mediterranean.
Based on the same territory – the Occitanie region – CIVIS MARITIMUS invites, for its third edition, a photographer to produce a photographic project addressing social, cultural, ecological and/or heritage issues linking human beings and the marine world.
The project should explore the issues of our future in synergy with the sea and/or defend a progressive – or militant – vision to radically raise awareness on these subjects. It may address questions relating to ecology, human activity, the notion of heritage or the area’s relationship with other areas of the Mediterranean basin.
This call is open to professional photographers from Europe and the southern shores of the Mediterranean (no age limit) wishing to develop a committed photographic project dealing with the issues of Man and the Mediterranean Sea around the area of Sète, Etang de Thau and the Gulf of Lion (Occitanie region).
The photographer will have two months to complete their project. A partial restitution will be organized in September 2025. He/she must be present in Sète on May 5, 2025 (provisional date) for the public announcement. A public meeting will be organized to present his approach. He or she will be accommodated in Sète from May 5 to July 5, 2025. The third edition of the Ronan Guillou Grant is supported by the city of Sète and M28 terres de culture.
